The app periodically checks for new versions. When one is available, it downloads the delta (typically ~10MB for a 200MB app) in the background and applies it on the next restart.
shooff doesn't transmit personal data. AI subtitles run entirely on-device. There are no accounts, no trackers, no telemetry. The only network interaction is with PayPal during purchase, which stores a license key — nothing else.
